UCW is launching Master of Business Administration (MBA) specializations in the Summer 2025 Term. New students entering the program can choose between specializations in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Leadership, Supply Chain Management or Business Analytics.
“Implementing these new MBA specializations ensures that students gain the relevant skills, industry insights and strategic mindset needed to thrive in an evolving workforce. By aligning education with market demands, we empower future leaders to drive innovation and create impact from day one,” said Dr. Bashir Makhoul, UCW President & Vice-Chancellor.
UCW has received consent from the BC Ministry of Post Secondary Education and Future Skills to offer these specializations, along with consent to continue offering the MBA degree.
“We are empowering our students to tailor their education to their passions and career goals. Specializations not only deepen expertise but also enhance job readiness, ensuring our graduates are well-equipped to lead and innovate in their chosen fields,” he said.
Students starting in the Summer 2025 Term still have the option to pursue their MBA and choose electives from six elective areas. The elective areas from which they can choose are Human Resources, Financial Management, Digital Marketing, Leadership, Project Management and Entrepreneurship. They can take electives from more than one of these areas.
The specializations and the general MBA apply to students taking the program in Hybrid Mode (in-person and online guided learning) and Online Mode. Students who started the MBA program before the Summer 2025 Term will continue progressing through their original degree pathway. They are not eligible to pursue a specialization but may be eligible to take the specialization electives as part of their General MBA.
