Toronto, October 25, 2025The International Language Academy of Canada (ILAC) marks the first anniversary of its partnership with the Toronto Raptors, blending language learning with NBA excitement. Launched in 2024, the collaboration has engaged over 1,000 international students through exclusive events at Scotiabank Arena and MLSE facilities.
Highlights include arena tours, professional coaching clinics, nutrition workshops, and visits from mascot Stripe. Students participated in Tamwood Basketball Camps and won game tickets via social media. These experiences, integrated into ESL and high school programs, promote teamwork, leadership, and cultural immersion.
Looking ahead, monthly free clinics begin October 24, 2025, at Ball Matics Academy. Ticket giveaways, MLSE Launchpad access, and community service with the MLSE Foundation continue. Vancouver students join via webinars, and 2026 camps will expand.ILAC and the Raptors are building global connections through sport, inspiring students to thrive in Canada’s multicultural landscape.
