On the evening of April 29, 2025, the School of Fashion & Jewelry at George Brown College in Toronto, Canada, hosted its highly anticipated annual fashion show, Threads, marking another triumphant celebration of creativity, innovation, and emerging talent. Held at the college’s vibrant downtown campus, the event drew a diverse crowd of industry professionals, alumni, students, and fashion enthusiasts, all eager to witness the culmination of months of hard work by the graduating students. This year’s showcase, part of a day-long series of events, underscored the institution’s reputation as a leader in fashion education. fashion education.

More than just a fashion show, “Threads” is a diverse event that embodies the spirit of fashion professionalism at George Brown College. The fashion show kicked off with the works of the winners of the college’s 2025 GBC Dye Sublimation Competition, including four winners: Pak Wan Hang, Celisha Hosein, Dunsin Oyebiyi and Ruhani Galhotra. More than 100 student-designed garments then took to the catwalk. This all-encompassing presentation not only highlights students’ technical and creative abilities, but also fosters deep connections with the Canadian fashion industry, preparing graduates for success in a highly competitive industry. The runway featured a diverse array of designs, reflecting the multicultural fabric of Canada and the unique perspectives of the student designers.
