Sheridan College Kicks Off Fall with Vibrant NSO

Sheridan College welcomed students to its Fall 2025 New Student Orientation (NSO) with energy and excitement, setting the stage for a successful academic year. Held across its campuses, the NSO offered a dynamic introduction to college life, fostering connections and school spirit.

The event featured a range of activities designed to engage students. At the Davis Campus, the Student Union hosted a lively street festival with food trucks, games, and a dunk tank, creating a festive atmosphere. Students explored clubs, services, and opportunities, connecting with peers and campus resources. Orientation leaders, dressed in bright yellow shirts, guided new students, offering tips and encouragement. The day included a hypnotist show and a “paint and sip” event with mocktails, adding fun to the transition.

At the Hazel McCallion Campus, a barbecue brought students together for food and camaraderie, while the Trafalgar Campus buzzed with club booths and interactive games. A standout moment was the puppy zone, where students de-stressed with therapy dogs. Faculty meet-and-greets and program-specific sessions helped students feel prepared, while giveaways like T-shirts and sunglasses boosted excitement.

The NSO’s blend of social, academic, and wellness activities ensured students felt supported. As one orientation leader shared, “It’s about helping students find their place and start strong.” Sheridan’s commitment to community shone through, giving students a headstart for the year ahead.
